Cassette Tape J-card Printing

For small orders of 20 or more

If you just require printed J-card insert to go in your cassette cases then we can print them in high quality with up to three additional fold-out panels in full colour on high quality gloss, matt recycled, brown Manila and clear tracing paper (clear vellum) paper stocks (see below for further information).

The cassette case inserts can either just be supplied on their own, or we can also provide the clear cassette cases too and insert the J-cards within the cases, ready for you to pop your cassettes in.

As standard a J-card insert has a single panel for the front cover of the cassette, then a fold with the spine artwork and then another fold with the shorter rear tab part of the insert, in a sort of ‘J’ shape. To this we can add additional fold-out panels of full colour artwork for an extra £0.12+VAT per panel.

The cassette case inserts are either printed just on the outside with the inside left white (4/0), or can be full colour printed on both sides (4/4).

Audio cassette J-card material options

Our cassette J-cards are available in five different card stocks. The most widely used and the default for orders (if you don’t ask us to use a different one) is the bright white 200gsm matt card stock (second from right above) that gives excellent colour reproduction and an authentic smooth matt J-card feel with good rigidity. We can also supply 170gsm and 280gsm gloss white (shown on the right above – a slighty creamier colour than the matt white), 300gsm brown Manila 100% recycled card stock, a 300gsm eco-natural 100% recycled light brown/grey card and then a 140gsm tracing paper (also referred to as ‘clear vellum’, shown on the left of the five samples) for an interesting effect where you can partially see the cassette through the J-card (as shown with the pink cassette in the case above), looking like a frosted case.

Your artwork can be printed in full colour on all J-card stocks.

For the tracing paper inserts we only recommend printing on one side of them, otherwise you can see both front and reverse prints at the same time.

The prices for all the different cassette tape J-cards are the same. Please notify us when ordering if you would like a card colour other than matt white.

If you would like your J-cards in clear or coloured cassette cases then please add the following to the above pricing:

J-cards inserted into clear cassette cases with spindles/lugs: £0.30+VAT extra per case.
J-cards inserted into coloured cases (black, grey, cream, white, transparent green, transparent purple, transparent orange or transparent green or clear without spindles/lugs): £0.49+VAT extra per case. Please note that the red and orange cases are the same colour throughout the front cover and rear of the case, but the others have coloured rears and clear front panels).

If you require additional panels for your cassette J-card inserts, then you can add up to five additional fold-out pages by using the templates below. Each page is printed full colour on both sides, so for example three pages actually give up to six sides of additional artwork content. In the artwork templates below, just fill in the additional panels of artwork that you require and leave any others blank that aren’t required (please always fill in +1 as the first extra panel, then +2 and +3 if required). Please only use the five extra panel template if you are going for four or five extra panels, otherwise please use the three extra panel template.

2. By uploading online

3. By post
Please send your artwork (and contents if we are recording the tapes for you) to:

Payment for orders

Payment is required before despatch of the order. Once we have received your artwork files (and audio contents if also being recorded) and verified that they are ready for production then we will email an invoice across to you that can be paid by cheque, BACS, PayPal or credit/debit card. The card receipts and VAT receipt will then be included with your order.

Can't recommend these guys enough. I worked closely with a chap called Michael at BandCDs on a small batch of cassette tapes. He was an absolute legend! His meticulous attention to detail was unlike anything else I've experienced from any of the printers/manufacturers I've dealt with in the past at other companies.
