Terms and Conditions

For details of how we handle your personal data, please see our privacy notice.

The placing of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Supplied Customer Artwork

Artwork supplied by customers may be in RGB or CMYK format, but we will convert to CMYK prior to printing. There can sometimes be a slight colour shift that may occur when converting from RGB to CMYK.

All artwork must be supplied as 300dpi JPEG, PDF, PNG, AI or PSD files. We are not responsible for images that may print blurred or pixelated due to customer supplied artwork if its less than 300dpi. We require 3mm bleed on all edges if the document requires this. If you are unsure of the term ‘bleed’ then please call and speak to your account manager. If the artwork supplied is not ‘Print Ready’ then we will contact you in order for you to re-supply or to make amendments and endeavour to get your order into print as soon as possible. This includes supplying us with artwork that is not in our templates. In most cases we will amend your artwork for you without charge if it is simple, however we may have to charge for alterations which can’t be rectified quickly – but we will of course advise you of any costs beforehand. Any delays in artwork not being supplied ‘Print Ready’ may lead to your order missing the desired delivery slot.

Artwork files that are in PSD, PDF or AI format may be supplied layered so that we can check the guidelines and easily make any small amendments if necessary (we would of course discuss this with you first) but any linked files must be embedded as otherwise they will not show up on our end as the linked files will only be local to your system and will not work on ours. We are not liable for a re-print if linked files are missing from artwork if it is found that they were not embedded.

If you require certain colours or shading for your printing then please either supply us with a printed sample to match as closely as possible against or request a pre-production print (where possible – some packaging options cannot be produced as one-off prints), otherwise our default print colour settings will be used. On-screen colours due to backlighting and your own screen brightness, contrast and colour settings will often be quite different to actual prints – do not  expect a precise match.

Printing Defects

Customer must notify us  in writing (via email) within 5 business days of delivery of any defects discovered in the finished goods. In order to receive replacements Customer must return 95% of the delivered product within 7 days of delivery. We shall not be liable for any costs, expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or 3rd party company arising directly or indirectly out of any print error. In the event that we have printed an order incorrectly and it be found to be our fault then we will supply a full re-print without cost to the customer. If the customer wishes to alter the artwork prior to the re-print then this will be treated as a new order and be consequently charged for.

Cassette Tape Audio

As the tapes are recorded in real time from a master CD (which is a 16 bit audio source), if any digital audio files are sent over as 24 bit tracks then we will convert to 16 bit before recording. Our preference is for you to send us 16 bit 44.1kHz WAV files as these are exact CD audio quality. We can record from other formats, although tend to advise against sending us MP3 files as these are always compressed to some extent. We do not accept FLAC or AIFF files as they can occasionally corrupt when converting to CD masters.

Please note that there can be some small variance in sound from tape to tape as we record in real time on just over 50 tape wells, plus cassette tapes have never been a perfect audio medium, so the quality of sound will not be the same as digital masters.

When you receive your order, please listen to the audio on one of the tapes before sending out to your customers, we cannot be held liable for costs incurred if you have sent products out to customers before checking the contents first.

If you wish to check the expected audio quality before ordering then please request a proof tape before you go ahead with the full order. We can supply you with a finished recorded and printed proof tape with J-cards or your packaging option for £60 + VAT.

CD & MiniDisc Audio

Our preference is for you to send us either a DDP audio file or to send us 16 bit 44.1kHz WAV files as these are exact CD audio quality. We can record from other formats, although tend to advise against sending us MP3 files as these are always compressed to some extent. We do not accept FLAC or AIFF files as they can occasionally corrupt when converting to CD masters.

When you receive your order, please listen to the audio on one of the discs before sending out to your customers, we cannot be held liable for costs incurred if you have sent products out to customers before checking the contents first.

Description of Goods/Warranty and Liability

Although we warrant that the goods will, at the time of delivery, correspond to the description given by us all products we sell are of a technical nature and it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods.

Products

We reserve the right to alter any details of products advertised without notice and while every effort is made to describe goods accurately in the advertisement no warranty is given as to accuracy and no responsibility will be accepted for error or mis-description and any resulting loss.

Value Added Tax (VAT)

Where applicable, all delivery prices quoted for the UK include VAT at the current rate of 20%. Deliveries outside the UK are not subject to VAT. However, you may need to pay customs fees and VAT in your own country to the courier.

Complaints

Any complaints must be made within 48 hours of receiving your goods. Any complaints made after this time period are void of any right to refund or reprint. We have right to resolve any complaint within our own discretion and we will not be liable for any loss of income, loss of profits, loss of markets, loss of reputation, loss of customers, loss of use, loss of an opportunity even if we had knowledge that such damages or loss might arise or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages or loss howsoever arising including without limitation breach of contract, negligence, wilful act or default. If we agree to a full refund you will need to return the goods to us, we will then refund for the cost of products.

Delivery

Every effort will be made to deliver on time, but any delivery day specified is a ‘best endeavour’ and no liability is accepted for any loss arising from delay or error in the delivery of the goods. We will do our very best to ensure that an order is despatched on the day specified for overnight next day delivery. But we cannot give an exact delivery time guarantee or assure that the delivery will be made on as per our indicated time, as we have to rely on Third party delivery company / courier. We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.

If an order is delivered to the wrong delivery addresses due to the customer providing us with the wrong address or is unsuccessful despite a valid delivery attempt, then its possible that the consignment will be returned back to us. In the event of this happening we can arrange for re-delivery of the consignment (to a new correct address if required) however the customer will be charged for the additional delivery cost plus half of our return fee, which is £10+VAT. If it is possible for the parcel to be intercepted before its returned to us, then we will do our best to get the consignment returned to the local depot and then re-delivered to the new address without any cost. However if the new delivery address does not fall under the delivery area for that depot and needs to be transferred to a different depot for delivery then there will be additional delivery charge.

Order returns, cancellation, refunds

Due to nature of products we sell, reimbursements for products already printed or being printed are not possible. It is possible to cancel orders that have not already been produced or sent to print.

Severability

In the event that any or any part of these Terms and Conditions shall be determined invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent such term, condition or provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms and Conditions, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Force Majeure

We will not be held responsible for failure or delay in the carrying out of our obligations under the contract arising from any cause outside our reasonable control or by inability to procure materials or articles except at higher prices due to any such cause and in such circumstances we shall be entitled by notice to terminate the contract in whole or in part without incurring any liability whatsoever to you.

These Terms and Conditions shall be construed in accordance with English Law.
